Fix-It Friday #45 – I Heart Faces

It’s time once again for another Fixt It Friday over at i heart faces!  This week’s photo comes from Caroline at Frogmum.

Adorable little girl and gorgeous sky!  But her face is really shaded.  I wish I could tell you what all I did to this photo, but I just didn’t write anything down and did a lot of playing!  Here’s my edited version:

And here are the two photos side by side for comparison:

I’m still a total beginner at this, but it sure is fun to play around with all the settings and learn what all I can do!

Snow Day

Yesterday, we got about 3-4 inches of snow…this is the 2nd time in 2 weeks!  So this was a pretty big deal.  We usually only get snowfall once a year and then it’s usually very little…not enough to really build a snowman.   Also most of the time we get snowfall it’s mixed with sleet, so it’s not the soft, fluffy stuff.  But this time it snowed nearly all day yesterday and no sleet!  My boys had a field day and homeschool was postponed…even homeschool families take snow days sometimes!

Look at all the pretty snow!

Playing in the snow is not just for kids!

Joe the Snowman

We used Coke cans for Joe’s eyes and an old colander for a hat.

Alas, poor Joe is now a puddle in the pasture :(.  The sun came out and the snow is disappearing quickly today.
